Life has returned to normal...
Well all the kids are back home and back to school. Although, apparently they have April 7 and 14th OFF! How can they take a holiday day if they have only been back teaching for 4 DAYS?!?!?! Amazing to me. Anywhoo...Both my girls came back from their Dad's with holes in their ears (which they were allowed) and with slightly different hair lengths and colors (which they kinda were allowed). My brunette haired little girl is now missing about 2-3 inches of hair and also has blond streaks. My blonde haired little girl is missing 4-5 inches of hair and thank goodness no streaks! Morgan (the blonde one) is very much a "Girlie girl" and loves doing her hair and make-up. Well she is now realizing that with her hair so short - she is very limited to what she can do. Next time maybe she will think before saying how much to cut off. Tamara (the brunette) looks very good with her new hair. She looks much older than she really is. It suits her.
There comes a time when you have to let them grow up a tiny bit. Well, this weekend was that time. As much as I would like to make them babies again, I think they would have something against it. All my children are very independent - which can be a good and bad thing. I would like to think we are raising them to be able to think for themselves and be themselves. That is something I can thank my own parents for. I don't really care what people think of me, I do my own thing. :o)
My son just turned 13 last week - WOW!?! I had him when I was very young (15 almost 16) and there were times I didn't think either of us would make it. But we have. It's been a tough stuggle sometimes but we did it. Now on to the teenage years... wonder if we'll make it through those. He is 5 years from being an adult and making his own decisions. Hopefully these next year will not be too difficult on both of us. I am glad I am still "young" enough to keep up with my kids. When my youngest is 18 I will be 38. Still young enough to do the things we want and old enough to offer advice (even if they don't take it) for them as they mature into adulthood and start their own families. And if any of them have kids while they are still young (although I will try to educate them against it 100%), I will follow my parents lead and support them any way I can.
OK - enough of this emotional stuff. Life is back to normal. :o)

ahhh...your a good mama letting your girls experiment with their hair. i remember when i was around that same age my mama let me cut and perm my hair. and dye it. all at once. never use cheap dye. the hair turned ORANGE and the perm turned into an AFRO. no joke. i looked like a boy.
did cody dye his hair?
Cody has put highlights in his hair - but he was 12. I remember my grandma perming my hair when I was quite young.
