mexico here we come!
Well I hoped and prayed to find a deal that would allow us to get to mexico with the kids. It looked like I was going to be short which ultimately meant no spending money - which would have been awful. I even checked out other hotels but I had my heart set on the same one we've gone to every year. We know it's safe, we know almost everything about it, I just love it.However, I thought to myself - well check the prices out of the states - with the dollar as high as it is - it might be cheaper. So I went onto Expedia.com and found and OK deal but still not great. Then I noticed it told me I had to book through Expedia.ca as I am in Canada. well OK - but what are the chances it's cheaper in Canadian $. well it WAS! Woohoo! So then i started a comparison between flying from Winnipeg, Fargo and Minneapolis. Winnipeg was $5800, Fargo was $4910 and Minneapolis was $3150!!Yahoooo! So I did the quick math and decided even if we drove to Minneapolis and stayed in a hotel it would still be cheaper than flying out of either Fargo or Winnipeg.
So it looks like we're heading to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico with the kids!!! I am much more excited than either Robin or the kids and we still have 29 days to go!! We'll fly out of Minneapolis - have a 2 hour stopover in Denver - which is nice because we've never been there) and then onto Puerto Vallarta. We're flying Frontier Airlines which is awesome! They are not a charter so we won't be cramped in there like sardines (which SkyService is famous for). In fact, we might even have extra seats so we can spread out. I'm not sure how full their flights are this time of year to PV. An added bonus is they are like Westjet in that all the seats have TV's in them so the kids will have their own TV's to watch - not a bad thing and it will only cost us $25 - but I'm not sure if we have to pay it twice because we switch planes...we'll see i guess.
I still have some obstacles to work out - like selling 4 more puppies! But once I get paid for the 4 that are already sold, then I can book the trip. Wooohooo!! Anyone want to buy a puppy? They're SOOOOooo cute!!
