Last weekend we went to Marchand for their Logging Days... it included an ATV Obstacle course. I have never participated in one before but it always looked fun. I figured I would take a look and then decide if I really wanted to do it. Well...obviously from the picture below I decided to try it... I got stuck BOTH times! It was a blast!

Here are a few more pictures of other riders. We had 12 in total (including Robin & Cody - Cody was on my machine)

How he didn't end upside down - I'll never know...lol

By the end of the event - everyone was muddy! Good thing dear old Mom told him to take his shoes and socks off eh? lol

Yes - his wheels are off the ground... :o)

September is kind of like May for ATV derbies and such - there is something happening almost every single weekend. Most people don't like riding in July and August - but I love it. I find the wind cools me down and when we're stopped is the perfect time for some sun. We are going riding Labour Day Monday.. then we have a group ride on Sept 8, then Marchand has their fall Derby on Sept 15... then we're off to St. Jean Baptiste for Sept 21-23 and then Piney is having a Fall Derby on Sept 28...

I don't think anyone has anything happening in October which is good because Cody's first Hockey practice is Oct 6! Wow! It seems like we just finished hockey. :o( I guess because I still manage the fundraising for Ste. Anne (even though Cody will play for Steinbach this year and last year he played out of Landmark) Aren't I nice? I'm hoping someone will take it over this year because I just don't see the point in me doing it for a town I no longer live in or have a kid playing for. We'll see...

On the home front... the kids are almost ready to go back to school (as I cheer - woohoo - my house should stay relatively clean)... I have almost all their supplies except for the dreaded Recorder... why do they make them learn that instrument anyway? It doesn't help them later in life at all! Oh well...

Our trip to Minneapolis was great - I have to go through my pictures and upload some... maybe that's tonight's project along with laundry, dishes and supper. lol It'll get done one day. Driving down there was OK - I didn't mind it. Robin drove until just before Minneapolis which gave me time to take pictures. We didn't drive too much once we got to the hotel. We stayed right across from the Mall of America and the hotel had hourly shuttles. Then to get downtown they have the Light Train which is really neat. We took the train everyday. Minneapolis is the biggest city I've ever been to. We went and saw the 35W Bridge that had collapsed - what a somber place to be right now. My heart goes out to the families that lost loved ones. We took in a Minnesota Twins game - I prefer Hockey or Football - Baseball is too slow paced for me. :o) It was an OK game - they won 2-1 in the 10th inning (I guess that means Overtime right?) against the Texas Rangers. I'll post some pictures once I go through them all.

Take care!

P.S. I am now on Facebook if you want to add me - just search for Tracy Wallbridge

Well it's been a few weeks and Cody is back home but the girls don't come home until Monday... the time has flown by and I haven't really accomplished much. Not that I had a list of stuff I wanted to do - just mainly relax and enjoy a relatively clean house... I've done that at least...

We didn't get out riding our ATV's as much as I wanted - but that's OK... September is a busy month for ATVing - there are several derbies and rides. We managed to go riding once to Lafarge pits just east of Richer... it was a perfect day and I was looking forward to going swimming. But it just wasn't meant to be... Robin ended up in the water - WITH HIS MACHINE!! Oh my... there were sea-doo's around where we were and one of the waves came in and picked up his machine and when the wave went back out - it took his machine WITH it! When I finally heard him calling me - he was a little panicked to say the least. The only part of his machine above water was about a foot of the back rack... to those of you who don't know machines well - THIS WASN'T A GOOD THING! lol Needless to say it stalled while under water. We ended up taking most of it apart to empty out the water - we even had water coming out the exhaust! We finally got it going and drove it back to the truck - water mixed with oil isn't a good receipe but it could have been a lot worse. We got home and parked it until I could get oil for it. We bought the cheap stuff from Walmart to change it a few times as Yamalube is $8 a litre! Not cheap at all... Robin changed the oil 3 times and the oil looks normal again. We haven't been out riding together since so we'll wait and see. For those of you who know me - know that I LOVE pictures! For me to say that I don't have a picture of this day - oh boy. I was tempted to take a picture as I winched him out - but one look from him said "Don't you dare!" so I was nice and didn't... now I regret it though... :o)

Robin has wanted to see a Major League Baseball game forever so this weekend we're heading down to Minneapolis to watch the Minnesota Twins and the Texas Rangers play... I think it will be a good weekend... our last alone until Christmas... we'll enjoy while we can. He tells me the interstate down there is VERY fast and that I'll be driving so I've mapped out where our hotel is and how to get to the Metrodome... I want to do some sightseeing as well but we'll see how I do driving there first.

I've been thinking alot about the miners trapped down in Utah and my thoughts and prayers are with them and their families... hopefully they make it out alive. I can't imagine what they're going through...hang in there.

That's about it for now - have a good one!
